Jack (Agocan) Koca has been painting for last 27 years. Since 1983, he has owned a picture framing and gallery business, where he displays his work and the work of local artists. Throughout his post secondary education at the University of Lyon, France, he studied colour and the preparation of paints and pigments, and their application and effects on various artistic surfaces. Jack’s studies in France sparked his interest in art and thus he began his artistic career.
Jack has studied with various prominent artists, and attended numerous workshops. From 1989 to the present, he has exhibited his paintings in countless group and solo exhibitions. He has won numerous awards, including the “Arthur Award” in 1994. His inspiration is derived from his love for nature, music and architecture. His paintings are displayed in many private collections throughout Europe, the United States and Canada.
